Nitro Swim Team Service Project Update

The Nitro National Group worked on a community service project over the holidays in which they collected assorted items for our troops stationed in Afghanistan.

One of these troops is former Nitro swimmer Patrick Puryear, a graduate of West Point.  We received the following  note from Patrick:

Nitro,

On behalf of all of the members of Bravo Troop, 1-32 CAV, Security Force Advise and Assist Team, I would like to thank all of you for the wonderful care packages that y’all sent. The mountains of Afghanistan are a very cold place and the blankets have been a huge hit amongst our soldiers during this cold winter season.

The Nitro program has come a long way in a very short period of time. The sound improvement of the team at the national level is something to be proud of and there is no doubt that there is still much more to come. Your performances are motivating even for those of us that have hung up our suits.

Swim fast and keep up the hard work!

  Patrick Puryear
