Nitro Families: Host a University of Georgia Swimmer for the UT Elite Meet

Nitro is very lucky to be able to host 22 Olympic Trial or Olympic Team members from the University of Georgia when they come to Austin for the UT Elite meet on June 1-3 as their last prep before Olympic Trials. Whether swimming in the Elite Meet or not it is a great chance to have an elite college swimmer or two stay with your family for a few days, establish a friendly relationship and learn many things from them. This type of housing takes place at Elite meets like Santa Clara and the Charlotte Ultra swim with teams like MAC ect embracing this opportunity.

Please email Coach Tim (tim@nitroswim.com) asap if interested in housing any swimmers and please specify how many and what gender you prefer.

Here are the details as to what is required of a host family.

  •  The athletes all arrive and will swim a warm-up at Nitro on Thursday PM ( 5/31 ) and then will scatter with their host families afterwards ( I will have specific time on that very soon ).
  • Host families will supply bed, meals and transport to and from all Elite Meet warm-up/sessions and times to be coordinated with each athlete(s) and family individually.
  •  Athletes will bring a gift for each family and will share meet and college stories as an extended member of that particular family for the 3 and half days of the meet and then a Monday morning drop-off.
  •  Host families are welcome and encouraged to come to Elite meet and cheer on their hosted athletes and really make this a fun and memorable experience and also the possibility of a family hosting a team barbeque for all host swimmers and families after the Sunday PM session of the meet.

Looking to make this a very special time and event for all involved as it is a unique opportunity!

Thank you for your participation in this great event!
