Intro to Nitro
Cedar Park: Xander Yung – Xander is the champion of underwater streamlines! He has really impressed the coaches lately that every time he leaves the wall he not only remembers his streamline, but he’s putting in the effort to make it the best streamline & underwater kicking he can. He didn’t begin the sport with that streamline, but his hard work & repetition has helped him become one of the best streamliners in the group! Great job, Xander! – Coach Jessie
Bee Cave: Asher Chang, Asher works hard every practice and always comes prepared. Asher’s dedication and hard work is paying off as he improves leaps and bounds every week! Great job Asher! Coach Sam.
Bronze
Cedar Park: Hailey Moulton – Hailey had one of her best weeks. Led the lane every day, demonstrated freestyle, and asked great questions during our freestyle week! Hailey keep working hard and being a great leader! – Coach Jeremy
Bee Cave: Aryana Dubey – Aryana had an outstanding training week. She really got things going Monday evening when she raced her way to a blistering 48 at the end of practice. I really admired her determination and never back down attitude. Nice job Aryana! – Coach Adrian
Technique & Fitness
Cedar Park: Rebecca Cohen & Bryan Simmons – Rebecca really rocked it this past weekend. Even though she only swam for thirty minutes, long course, she put 100% pure effort into her workout. We even had a parent come up to us and say what an amazing swimmer she was. Bryan always shows up to practice wanting to work. He shows up to PRACTICE, not to PLAY in the pool. Big difference. Great job listening to instructions and implementing them. Great job you two thanks for being a part of NITRO and we’ll see you at the pool. – Coach Steve
Bee Cave: Elisha Gadbois – Elisha’s ability to always give 100% in practice no matter how hard the work out is going to be is awesome. This week we worked on all four strokes and her ability to do it all with perfection is amazing. I am extremely proud of her and the swimmer she has become. – Coach Tanner
Silver
Cedar Park: Niko Kundivich – One of the best qualities a swimmer can have is asking questions about what they are doing and why they are doing it. After every set is given to the swimmers Niko does a great job of making sure he understands what we are doing so that he is able to give his best effort. Niko is always happy and willing to move lanes or help make practice go a little bit smoother. Keep asking questions, Niko, it will only better yourself! – Coach Allison
Bee Cave: Gabriela Gomez – Day after day, practice after practice, set upon set, this young lady comes on the pool deck with a smile, not just a happy to see you smile, but a confident smile, the smile that says “OK lets see what I can accomplish now!” She loves to be challenged and so far has never shied away from a race, no matter what the distance, or who she might have to swim against in the group, she just loves to try. Gabriela is in Silver but has the attitude I look for in my Gold swimmers, 100, 200, 400, makes no difference just tell me how you want me to swim it! A great attitude can cure any pain, overcome a glitch anywhere in the stroke, and push a winded swimmer farther past the flags on turns than one might expect. Keep bringing that smile to practice every day young lady, Well Done! – Coach Chuck
Advanced Silver
Cedar Park: Alex Foote – Of the several weeks of having Alex in the group, we coaches have never heard him complain even once. He always has a willingness to perform immediately and professionally. Alex leads by his actions and those around him seem to thrive on his get-it-done attitude. Keep it up, Alex! – Coach Alex
Bee Cave: Samuel Tan – Samuel, since you were in the Silver group, you’re performance and dedication have always been your main thing. This week you made the difference, especially on the 50’s fast kick on Saturday, that makes you deserving of the Swimmer of the Week title. Keep it up Sam..FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS..SI SI SI!!! – Coach Felix
Gold
Cedar Park: Jaylin DuBose & Julia Rautaneva – Jaylin and Julia had an amazing weekend swimming at the Summer Splash this weekend both achieving their first ever 10 & Under TAGS cuts, Jaylin in the 100 Breaststroke and Julia in the 200 IM, I could not be more proud of them and their accomplishments. Congratulations ladies keep working hard. – Coach Travis
Bee Cave: Annabel To – Practice can be the most trying of places at times, fatigue, cramping, nausea, any number of problems can keep you from performing at your best, but not if you swim in the Gold Group at Bee Cave and Annabel is in your corner, this young lady not only gives it her all every time she dives off the block, she inspires others to do so as well! This Saturday she not only cheered from behind the blocks, but after her swim she continued to cheer from the warm down lane, and I mean “CHEER” at the top of her lungs! It was a joy to watch and Kevin benefited from the encouragement, ever though he was not 100% he was able to put together one more sprint. Great assist Young Lady! Sometimes you have to step outside the box and find ways to help your teammates and when every swimmer is willing to support each other like Annabel the impossible no longer seems so impossible! Thank You Annabel for using your Nitro Spirit! – Coach Chuck
