Cedar Park
High School Training– Taylor Foight
I’m continually impressed with Taylor, and his ability to turn it on. Whether the set is 100s on an nearly impossible interval, or an impromptu Pull-Up competition, I can always expect him to put in a 110%. Not only does this work ethic make him better, but it undoubtedly raises the quality and intensity of those around him, which as a coach is very exciting! Tremendous worker, endlessly reliable, and has yet to be dethroned as “first to dry-land”. Good work Taylor, and keep raising the bar. – Coach Nick
Tags 2– Vincent Ribeiro & Karen Yin
Vincent and Karen showed the strength of the entire TAGS 2 group because of all the swimmers in the group, they were able to accomplish amazing things at our TAGS meet including swimming between the two of them more than 5 Top 10 Times in the country for their age group. Congratulations to these two swimmers as well as the entire TAGS meet crew. Very proud of all they accomplished this season. – Coach Flo
Tags 1– The entire 13-14 boys group
These boys were on fire from STAGS/Sectionals until TAGS. From achieving new cuts, making Zones teams, and dominating their age group at TAGS- they rose to the challenge every time. There is no denying that these boys showed they were the best 13-14 group in Texas!! Way to “FINISH” your season gentleman!
Senior– Allie Freeman
Allie had a LCM season with some ups and downs and finished out with a bang! At the FCST meet in June she was coming off sickness and didn’t swim as fast as she was hoping to. She cam back at the UT meet a couple weeks later to swim lights out and continued that into STAGS where she improved in all of her events! Way to go ALLIE! – Coach Jeremy
National Development – Joshua Winn
Before heading off to Carson-Newman this fall, Josh ended his season with all lifetime bests at Sectionals. An awesome way to cap his high school years with Nitro. Josh was a great example this summer of developing a plan with his coaches and then executing it. After sectionals Josh could of disappeared before heading to college but instead he honored his commitment and has been back at the pool staying in shape for this fall. Josh’s leadership will be missed!!
National Group– Natalie Davis
Natalie had an awesome July in the pool and as a leader at our training camp in San Diego, at practices, at sectionals and American Long Course Final meet. Natalie took the initiative time after time to lead the group through tough times in our training camp and at meets. She was very selfless and put her teammates well ahead of her just like she has always done. Then she got payback at sectionals by picking up best times and having the group cheer for her. We know she will continue her great leadership and fast swimming this upcoming school year at UMBC. – Tim and Robert
Bee Cave
Middle/High – Anna Ringwood
Anna had just a great month of training, here underwater pushoffs are the best, solid fly kick and I love the way she keeps her head down the first three Strokes of freestyle. Anna could fit into the Gold group without any problem, she is a group leader and one of the go to swimmers when you want to introduce a new drill to the group. Great work Anna.
TAGS 2 – Lindsey Bowen, Ian Cullicott, John Fontenot, Joe Gillett, Yasmina Buhl, Natalie Klaas, Arianna Lax, Quinn Mauck, Sergio Pereira, Bella Sites, CJ Suarez, McKelvey Valenti, Eric Li
All of these swimmers had a great season and put in the necessary training to be a part of our TAGS Championship team. We could not have won TAGS without all of them helping. Congrats to all of you on being a part of a great TAGS Champions team! – Coach Scott
TAGS 1: Jasmine Bui, Julia York, Ethan Hammond, Andrew Lee, Steven Laflamme, Jacob Ward, Markus Egger
This crew did a fantastic job at TAGS and swam their hearts out in their relays and time trials. We are all proud of your hard work! Keep your goals in mind and let’s get ready for a great short course. – Coach Jason
Senior – Camille Sweeney
Camille may not of had the ideal end to her long course season. She has been on fire this month. Every practice she is constantly working on something to help her improve. The biggest change that I have seen is her mental toughness in the pool. Keep up the great work! – Adrian Damasco
National Development: Zak Mickelson & Miguel Velasquez
Zak and Miguel both had a terrific month and had some great performances at Sectionals here in Austin. One of Zak’s highlights came in the 400 free time trial where he had a huge drop and went 4:17 and got the hard cut. Miguel had a great 100 fly going 59 and breaking a minute for the first time! Great job and keep up the good work. – Coach Jason
